As the internet community grows more and more popular so do the companies out there trying to SCAM you. I, myself have ran across quite a few of these, especially in the entertainment industry.
As 2008 progresses, the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) and the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) are cracking down and expanding their enforcement. Anytime you download music and movies for free over the internet you are highly risking a chance of getting caught with a pretty hefty fine. These fines can range anywhere from a $100 fine and restricted or no internet usage for 1 year or more, up to $250,000 fine for the “No Electronic Theft Act” for first time offenders.
